«Poltrona Frau has the ability to create
products that are absolutely faithful to its history
but at the same time contemporary. With them,
we have created furnishings that are somehow
timeless and even experimental, such as Let it Be,
which represented the shared discovery
of the company’s renewed modernity.
The concept aims to give a new interpretation
to the idea of padding, looking towards a completely
diff erent way of sitting, resting and socialising.
We believe that this design was a sort of ‘game
changer’ that, more than any other, introduced the
company to a new audience, setting it as a Brand
that speaks a contemporary language, and not only
one of a strong vocation for its heritage.»
Architects Ludovica + Roberto Palomba
founded Palomba Serafi ni Associati in
Milan in 1994. The high quality of their
creations is their distinctive signature. They
develop signifi cant architecture, contract,
interior design and yachting projects and
exhibitions around the world; they collabo-
rate with and are art directors for some of
the most established brands, and most of
the objects they have designed are still in
production. They have received some of the
most prestigious international awards and
recognitions. The underlying goal of their
project is to create places and products that
are intended to share life with those who
choose to own them, identifying the most
unconscious needs and giving them form and
emphasis. Ludovica + Roberto Palomba’s
work - their research, development and
design - can be summed up in one word,
emphasis.
