True Heritage
100+10 Years of True Evolution
A table with a rough, always unique,
texture designed to highlight the dark grey
veins of its Arabescato Carrara marble, inimi-
table signs of the context and of the precious
generosity of nature. The Bolero Limited
Edition, designed by Roberto Lazzeroni, has
been produced only in 41 numbered copies
marked from 00 – 40.
The table features a marble top worked
with abrasive brushes that randomly etch
the surface, creating textures that change
according to the hardness and the natural
unevenness of the surface. This pleasantly
rough fi nish, called “moonface”, takes on a
three-dimensional depth that is reminiscent
of the natural unfi nished stone when it is
extracted at the quarry.
The top features, the generous dimen-
sions of three metres by one metre, and its
slightly irregular and faceted profi les create
an almost oval shape. The variable inclination
of the edge creates a game of slopes that
recalls the chiselling of the slabs. The marble
is supported by a wooden sub-top, and is
connected to the structure with small metal
columns giving it a light and almost suspended
eff ect. The base is made of oil-fi nished solid
Canaletto walnut, with a triangular sectional
structure that contributes to the sculptural
lightness of the project.
The special Limited Edition, developed
in collaboration with Savema, a leading
company in the Carrara marble sector, is
more than a numbered series: it is a unique
and unrepeatable union between people and
nature.

Bolero
To celebrate the well-known Luce wine,
Poltrona Frau and Tenuta Luce della Vite meet
in the special edition of the historic armchair
designed by Renzo Frau in 1919. This union
arises from shared values such as the use of
extraordinary raw materials, expertise rooted
in the territory and in the noblest tradition of
craftsmanship, the unique gestures of the
artisans and the relationship of their products
with the passage of time.
The 1919 special edition is upholstered
with an exclusive Pelle Frau® Century Luce
leather, specially developed in an intense
red tone similar to the shades of grapes, and
uses natural oak for the glass-holder plate to
recall the refi nement of the wine in barriques.
A gold button allows for the engraving of the
customer’s initials, while the personalised and
numbered brass plate makes each piece unique.
The initiative is part of Casa di Luce, the
project designed by Lamberto Frescobaldi
in 2009 to honour the exclusivity of the wine
with Made in Italy creations and partnerships
that share its personality, uniqueness and
prestige. Values that are expressed in every
detail. Each 1919 armchair requires 9 square
metres of leather, 17 metres of twine, 90
meters of sewing thread, 12 buttons, 32
springs, 320 leather tacks and 22 hours of
labour; each bottle of Luce comes from 8
square metres of land, 4 plants -2 Sangiovese
and 2 Merlot -, 500 hours in the vineyard and
the same in the cellar, and over 30 months
of ageing to guarantee 20 years of longevity.
Respect for time frames and slow manu-
facturing for a production synonymous with
culture and excellence.
