Objects of Art
in Blown Glass
Art is beauty, revelation, the search for the self, the truth and the sublime. Art is an interior reflection. Design means form, shape, inter-action
with the surroundings; it means functionality. Colour is one of the characteristics of light, but also its interpretation and visualization. Art, design
and colour emerge from emotions, from and with the sensations they reflect.
They express personality, elegance and life style. They are part of the daily life, of the visible, the tangible, but at the same time they are remote;
they are a complex and intriguing mental exercise, a pure feeling or just plain fun. Nothing can be conceived without them but the extent of their
presence in the life of each individual is merely personal. Art, design and colour are therefore an expression of the cultural, social and intellectual
world of every person and as such the result of thoughts, ideas, dreams and, perhaps, of a profound interior analysis or of choices determined
by taste. In any case, from those who conceive and create them they require an immense and constant commitment to their work…
We at Pataviumart know this. We feel it every day. Our founders felt it and they wanted to share it, to reveal it, to make it accessible to others.
To many, but not to all.
Our desire to make our dreams come true through the discovery of the really beautiful, the fascinating, enchanting and captivating soul of a
piece of art has always been the mainspring for us at Pataviumart. It is an intrinsic part of our work and as such we have always tried to leave
it scope. We have given it shape, colour and design, creating reality from our ideas and dreams.
It is nearly impossible to imagine an activity which could give you more satisfaction than this. Proud and satisfied were we when customers
referred to our products as ravishing pieces of art; a goal met after a long and tortuous period of analysis, design and artistic development,
without compromise.
But as every arrival contains a new beginning, achieved objectives generate new ones. And that is how the ideas for our new chandeliers,
table, floor and ceiling lamps, appliqués and wall-sconces are born, how they materialize and become part of a history intertwined with antique
arts and craftsmanship perfected over centuries in Padua’s foundries and the workshops of glass blowers from Murano and Venice. Sophisti-
cated and refined must our articles be.
They have to charm, to create or emphasize atmospheres and to merge with the environment in which they are introduced without losing their
character and appeal, without hiding their presence. On the contrary!
And it is exactly for these characteristics that our products are placed in prestigious palaces, gorgeous villas, famous theatres and luxurious
hotels, in wide foyers and concert halls, salons with classical and contemporary designs alike, dining rooms, galleries or stylish lounges.
