Ombra è un parasole in tessuto. Il suo schermo circolare può essere inclinato e regolato in al-
tezza. La struttura di Ombra è realizzata in alluminio. E’ sottoposta a una speciale verniciatura
che la rende adatta all’uso anche in condizioni ambientali difficili.
Su superfici portanti, il parasole può essere bloccato a terra con la sola zavorra in cemento,
ma per garantire una maggiore stabilità e aumentare la resistenza ai carichi di vento, è con-
sigliato fissarlo al suolo in modo permanente, con tasselli e viti in acciaio, utilizzando sempre
anche l’apposita zavorra.
Su superfici non portanti, come prati o spiagge, il parasole deve essere fissato sulla testa di
un palo in alluminio annegato nel terreno.
Lo schermo circolare è permeabile ed è composto da due semicerchi. E’ realizzato in rete
bianca di poliestere o in Thuia, tessuto esclusivo Paola Lenti. Quando Ombra è chiuso, i
semicerchi sono ripiegati uno sull’altro e sono allineati alla struttura verticale di sostegno
del parasole. Quando Ombra è aperto, i semicerchi possono formare un’unica superficie
piana o essere inclinati indipendentemente l’uno dall’altro per assumere tre differenti posizioni.
Le operazioni di apertura e chiusura e le regolazioni sono possibili grazie a uno snodo in
acciaio e alluminio.
Verniciature e tessuti sono disponibili in colori coordinati.
Lo schermo non resiste a carichi accidentali. In caso di forte vento o pioggia deve essere ri-
chiuso, messo in posizione verticale e agganciato alla struttura di sostegno. Nei periodi di non
utilizzo, Ombra va riparato in un ambiente chiuso e protetto.
Ombra is a parasol with a fabric sunshade. Its circular screen can be inclined and adjusted
in height. The structure of Ombra is made of aluminium. It is treated with a special varnishing
that makes it suitable to resist also in difficult environments.
On weight bearing surfaces, the parasol can firmly stand on the ground with the sole concrete
ballast, but in order to ensure greater stability and increase the resistance to wind loads, it is
recommended to secure it permanently to the ground, with steel dowels and screws, using
always the appropriate ballast.
On non-load-bearing surfaces, such as a lawn or a beach, the parasol must be fixed on the
head of an aluminium pole embedded into the ground.
The circular screen is permeable and consists of two semi-circles. It is made either in white
polyester net or in Paola Lenti’s signature fabric Thuia. When Ombra is closed, the semi-
circles are folded one over the other and aligned to the vertical support structure of the pa-
rasol. When Ombra is open, the semi-circles can form a unique flat surface or be inclined
independently of one other to assume three different positions. Opening, closing and
adjusting operations are possible thanks to an articulated joint made of steel and aluminium.
Varnishing and fabrics are available in coordinated colours.
The screed does not resist to accidental loads. In case of strong wind or heavy rain it must
be closed, vertically positioned and fixed to the bearing structure. During non-use periods,
Ombra must be sheltered in a closed and protected space.
