I tappeti, tradizionalmente, sono oggetti ibridi
che possono abitare sia l’interno sia l’esterno
della casa. La superficie del tappeto porta nella
casa la bellezza di un altrove naturale. In luoghi
aperti, invece, il perimetro del tappeto suggerisce
che per uno spazio di intimità è sufficiente un
confine leggero, simbolico. Questo confine fluido
fra dentro e fuori, interno ed esterno, connota ciò
che facciamo e indica che il luogo che abitiamo
è parte di un ordine più ampio.
Colors and materials are at the foundation
of the process that originally developed around
carpets. Carpets have traditionally been hybrid
objects that can inhabit both the interior and the
exterior of the house. The carpet’s surface brings
into the home the beauty of a natural elsewhere.
In open spaces, however, the perimeter of the rug
suggests that for a space of intimacy, all we need
is a light and symbolic boundary. This fluid bound-
ary between the interior and exterior provides
a connotation to what we do and indicates that
the place we inhabit forms part of a broader order.
