Thomas Jenkins has worked in leading
design companies before starting his
own studio in 2010. His interest in
manufacturing and materials combined
with his traditional craft skills has led
to him to create furniture and objects
designed for interaction. He has
designed objects for amongst others
Hay (DK), Skagerak (DK) and Iris
Hantverk (SE).
Sverre Uhnger is a trained craftsman
and educated designer from Bergen
National Academy of Art and Design
and Aalto University. Sverre focuses
on creating products that feel natural
to the user and where the inherent
qualities of the materials and the
production techniques is emphasised.
He has designed objects for amongst
others Mitab (SE), Brdr. Krüger (DK)
and Magnor (NO).
Luciano Bertoncini
Nato a Feltre nel 1939, si trasferisce,
ventenne, a Treviso, dove lavora nello
studio dell’Arch. Vittorio Rossi. In
questo periodo progetta il letto Zattera
e i mobili per soggiorno Italian Look
che per il loro contenuto innovativo
contribuiscono a definire il mobile
moderno italiano. Nel 1968 conosce
Joe Colombo, che, in veste di art
director della ditta Elco, inserisce nel
suo catalogo l’appendiabiti Gronda che
vince nel 1971 il secondo premio al
concorso Abet Print. Dopo la scomparsa
improvvisa di Joe Colombo, realizza la
parte esecutiva del suo progetto per
la mostra, “Italy: the new domestic
landscape” al Moma di New York. Con
la ditta Aprilia, ha progettato anche la
moto Tuareg Wind, selezionata al XIV°
Compasso d’Oro. Nel settore dei mobili
progetta per varie aziende e, con la
ditta Bellato è stato selezionato al X°
Compasso d’Oro con il letto Onda. Con
studio a Treviso, si occupa di design e
architettura.
Born in Feltre in 1939, he moved to
Treviso at the age of twenty, where
he worked at the Architect Vittorio
Rossi’s studio. In this period he
designed the Zattera bed and the
Italian Look furniture for living room
which, thanks to their innovative
content, contribute to defining modern
Italian furniture. In 1968 he met Joe
Colombo, who, as the art director
of the Elco company, included the
Gronda coat hanger in his catalog,
which won second prize in the Abet
Print competition in 1971. After the
sudden death of Joe Colombo, he
realizes the executive part of his
project for the exhibition, “Italy: the
new domestic landscape” at the
MoMa in New York. With the Aprilia
company, he also designed the Tuareg
Wind motorcycle, selected for the
14th Golden Compass. In the furniture
sector he designed for various
companies and, with the Bellato
company, he was selected for the X °
Compasso d’Oro with the Onda bed.
With his studio in Treviso, he deals
with design and architecture.
Pio and Tito Toso
Fratelli, nascono a Venezia, Pio nel
1973 e Tito nel 1971. A Venezia si
laureano in architettura nel 1998. Nel
1996 aprono il loro studio. Lavorano
nel campo dell’architettura realizzando
numerosi progetti sul territorio nazionale
ed internazionale e partecipando a
vari concorsi. Collaborano, inoltre,
sia nel campo dell’arredamento che
del design, lavorando con le ditte più
qualificate: Artemide, Foscarini, Leucos,
Venini, Vistosi, per l’illuminazione
e Alessi, Colombo design, Guzzini,
Frighetto, Metalco, Pedrali, Segis,
Rossi di Albizzate, per l’arredo. Hanno
collaborato alla progettazione di stand,
esposizioni, negozi, uffici e magazzini
per diverse ditte, curandone l’immagine
e la grafica.
Brothers, they were born in Venice,
Pio in 1973 and Tito in 1971. In
Venice they graduated in architecture
in 1998. In 1996 they opened their
studio. They work in the field of
architecture realizing numerous
projects on the national and
international territory and participating
in various competitions. They also
collaborate in the field of furniture
and design, working with the most
qualified companies: Artemide,
Foscarini, Leucos, Venini, Vistosi,
for lighting and Alessi, Colombo
design, Guzzini, Frighetto, Metalco,
Pedrali, Segis, Rossi di Albizzate, for
furnishing. They collaborated in the
design of stands, exhibitions, shops,
offices and warehouses for various
companies, taking care of their image
and graphics.
