Arsenalità, un neologismo che abbraccia il senso
di artigianalità e industria.
Un concetto che oltre a ribadire il nostro legame
al territorio promuove la realizzazione di un
prodotto artigianale mediante un’organizzazione
produttiva industriale.
Molteplici sono le affinità che emergono con
l’antico Arsenale di Venezia, a partire dalle
capacità artigianali sapientemente espresse
dalle mani di maestranze specializzate.
L’analogia continua e ci conduce nell’ambito
dell’organizzazione industriale che è scandita
da processi sistematici, approvvigionamento
materie prime, operazioni di assemblaggio,
divisione in reparti e non ultimo un controllo
attento di qualità. Tutti passaggi e operazioni
che ci permettono di ottenere prodotti totalmente
realizzati all’interno dell’azienda.
Concretamente è proprio la nostra estrema
capacità di personalizzare che comporta una
lavorazione completamente internalizzata del
prodotto, in quanto richiede un controllo diretto
sui processi produttivi e uno sforzo, un’abilità
manuale tale da far si che ogni creazione sia
al contempo unica, esclusiva, non riproducibile
ma altrettanto precisa e puntuale perché
figlia di logiche e principi che solo l’industria
riconosce come propri. Ecco quindi “Arsenalità”
un termine, una storia, un senso, che fanno
dell’operosità, della manualità e dell’industria
l’essenza stessa del nostro essere.

A concept that besides reiterating our strong link
with the territory, and with Venice in particular,
makes us feel as the promoters and keepers
of an organizational and production model
that enabled the “Serenissima”- this is how the
Most Serene Republic of Venice was known at
that time - to be the undisputed queen of the
Mediterranean sea for over five hundred years.
The Venetian Arsenal anticipated by centuries the
modern concept of factory. This huge structure
hosted designers, shipwrights, carpenters,
blacksmiths and specialized workers organized
according to a real and actual breakdown
by departments, including quality control and
assembly lines. This complete and self-sufficient
production cycle allowed building up to a big
ship per day and, in so doing, assured to Venice
a real and proper primacy.
This analogy leads us into the organizational and
productive context of Oikos, where our extreme
customization capabilities involve a completely
internalized processing of the product, as it
requires a direct control over the production
processes and such an effort, such a manual
ability as to assure that each creation is unique,
exclusive and not duplicable yet, at the same
time, extremely precise and accurate as it is
the result of logics and principles that only the
industry world as such features.
Hence, the origin of the term “Arsenalità”:
a term, a story, a meaning that make of our
hard work, manual crafts and industry the very
essence of our way of being.
