Disegnato nel 2013 dal duo svedese
Front, Doodle riprende la forma di una
coperta ripiegata e la decora con un
ricamo nato da un grande scarabocchio,
un disegno articolato e complesso
costruito su una scansione spontanea
e accumulativa di segni, forme
geometriche, tracce di pensiero a flusso
continuo. La seduta è delicata, assorta,
i braccioli morbidi, la forma accogliente.
Il rivestimento trapuntato segue le linee
della composizione sovrappensiero,
conferendole tridimensionalità.
È un pensiero che ci accoglie, un sogno
ad occhi aperti.
Designed in 2013 by the Swedish
duo Front, Doodle takes its shape
from a folded blanket and decorates
it with embroidery that starts as
a sweeping scrawl and ends as an
articulate and complete drawing based
on a spontaneous and accumulative
articulation of symbols, shapes, fleeting
thoughts that come and go. The seat
is delicate, deep in thought, armrests are
soft, the form welcoming. The quilting
on the upholstery follows the lines of the
doodle making it three-dimensional.
It is a welcoming thought, a daydream.
