Le linee della tensione superficiale di
una goccia d’acqua si trasformano in un intreccio
di strisce di pelle di diversa larghezza.
Come in un lavoro degli artisti dell’arte optical, in
Dew Nendo studia i processi percettivi alla base
del movimento, traducendoli in una disposizione
di linee e forme geometriche organizzate
secondo un approccio matematico e con un
linguaggio grafico. L’effetto ottico, enfatizzato
dai rapporti di estensione e dall’uso del bicolore,
permette una lettura multipla dell’oggetto, allo
stesso tempo strutturale e visivo.
The lines of the surface tension of a drop
of water are transformed into a weave of leather
strips of different widths. As in a work of the
artists of optical art, in Dew Nendo studies the
perceptual processes underlying movement,
translating them into an arrangement of lines
and geometric shapes organized according to a
mathematical approach and with a graphic
language. The optical effect, emphasized by
extension ratios and the use of two-tone, allows
for a multiple reading of the object, at once
structural and visual.
