Backside
Una collezione di divani che, fin dal nome,
promuove lo schienale come elemento centrale
nell’idea di progetto. Se formalmente la struttura
delle sedute segue un’impostazione
rigorosamente ortogonale, nell’uso di ricami,
bottoni, di cuscini decorativi, nei dettagli e
nella selezione dei tessuti emerge un’inclinazione
influenzata da ricerche proprie del mondo
dell’abbigliamento; una caratteristica
che, accanto alla qualità distintiva del comfort
– elusiva reminiscenza di un daybed orientale –
accosta una forte componente visiva
e comunicativa.
A collection of sofas that, right from its
name, promotes the backrest as a central
element in the design idea. If formally the
structure of the seats follows a strictly orthogonal
layout, in the use of embroidery, buttons,
decorative cushions, in the details and in the
selection of fabrics there emerges an inclination
influenced by research proper to the world
of clothing; a characteristic that, alongside the
distinctive quality of comfort - elusive
reminiscence of an oriental daybed - juxtaposes
a strong visual and communicative component.
