Redondo si ispira agli interni imbottiti delle
auto americane degli anni ’50 e ’60 e al comfort
on-the-road che accompagnava i viaggiatori nei
lunghi viaggi tra la East e la West Coast. La forma
nasce dall’accostamento di una scocca che
avvolge in continuità i grandi cuscini di seduta.
Forme curve esaltate dall’assenza di spigoli
e dalla morbidezza del tessuto, impreziosito da
un decoro ricamato dove il filo, come una matita,
segna un elegante geometria tridimensionale.
Redondo is inspired by the upholstered
interiors of American cars of the 1950s and
1960s and the on-the-road comfort that
accompanied travelers on long journeys between
the East and West Coasts. The shape comes
from the juxtaposition of a shell that wraps large
seat cushions in continuity. Curved forms
enhanced by the absence of edges and the
softness of the fabric, embellished with an
embroidered decoration where the thread, like
a pencil, marks an elegant three-dimensional
geometry.
