Below the surface is an exhibition composed of applied works of art. Economic growth,
mass production and overconsumption have set the scene in our part of the world.
"Taking this into consideration, I felt the urge to translate my free work into everyday
objects. As well as the individual meaning, these autobiographical works also have a
clear function." - Victor de Bie. The tapestries are reflections of Victors most chaotic,
emotional, indomitable and often meaningless thoughts, transformed into something
soft and desirable.
