ABOUT THE COLLECTION
Folds are everywhere: a napkin on the
table, the clothing you wear, or a bag
floating in the wind. The simple and
unexpected compositions of the Folds
Collection attract attention. By applying
the ‘trompe l’oeil’ technique, they appear
almost threedimensional but this is only
an optical illusion.
ABOUT THE DESIGNER
Celia Hadeler is a contemporary artist,
based in The Netherlands. Her work
consists of contradictions. Being of both
Peruvian and German descent, Celia is a
product of contrasting cultures. Contrasts
that merge fluently in her work. During
her art studies at Willem de Kooning
Academie in Rotterdam and Royal
Academy of Art in The Hague, she has
developed a great taste and distinction.
She likes to combine old and new
techniques, which is clearly visible in her
Folds Collection for Moooi Carpets.
