Born out of the mystic mind of Jeffrey Huyghe, Placebo
quickly became a large product family. Placebo is shapes,
sizes, up and down lighting, and stylish shade accessories to
dress it up. A multitude of playful general lighting luminaires
for residential, hospitality, retail or office spaces.

around the possibilities? Imagine a row or flock of
changing Placebos, above a dining room table or a long
counter space. Alternating between up and down lights,
a tube shape or a ball shape. Creating patterns galore,

A feast of mix & match
All of Placebo’s aluminium LED units are available in white
and black structure, anodised champagne, bronze, silver
bronze and black. Decide on a finish, then move on to
choosing a tube or a ball shape, each in 2 sizes, with an
up or down light effect. Also, add volume and presence to
your Placebo expression with any of our 3 shades, Douli,
Beanie and Sombrero. And watch the light effects they

Complexity in disguise
Deceptively simple in appearance, this pendant light
hides intriguing features. How can both up and down
lights look so identical? Hint: the up light reveals a small
hole at the top of the glass. So why then, can’t we see the
cable through the glass? A 3-layered, hand blown glass
does the trick.
