DAEM
By Carlos Tíscar
brief
WHY THE NAME?
Simple, phonetically pleasant and easy to remember.
SOURCE OF INSPIRATION:
The Daem tables were initially designed as bedside
tables for the Pars bedroom collection by Mobenia.
Shortly afterward, we realized that the concept wor-
ked perfectly in a living room, with slightly more
generous dimensions. Interestingly, long after de-
signing mine, I discovered that Irving Harper, from
George Nelson’s studio, had already created a very
similar piece with wheels back in the 1950s, which
reinforced my belief that this type of design was
and still is valid.
IMPORTANCE OF THIS PRODUCT
Daem tables, whether used individually or as coffee
and side tables, serve as supports for both functio-
nal and decorative objects in a living room. Thanks
to their two levels of service, the usable surface
is quite large, making the arrangement and accessi-
bility of objects especially easy and convenient.
“Simple, phonetically
pleasant and easy to
remember.”
