A Cascais, nella riviera portoghese bagnata
dall’Oceano Atlantico e accarezzata dalla brezza me-
diterranea, sorge The Wall House, un’architettura
in cemento, legno e vetro di oltre 1000 mq progettata
dallo studio portoghese Guedes Cruz Arquitectos.
Circondata da vetrate per favorire il dialogo con la
natura circostante, questa villa è caratterizzata da un
design moderno e audace, che unisce gli elementi
acqua, aria e luce.
Nel grande patio, elemento di continuità tra
interno ed esterno, due piscine con fondo in vetro si so-
vrappongono perpendicolarmente su due livelli,
creando un surreale effetto visivo. È in questo spazio
che La Grand Table e Le Banc, entrambi del designer
belga Xavier Lust, trovano la loro naturale collocazione.
Icone di leggerezza, con caratteristiche strutturali ben
definite e formate da un’unica lastra di alluminio
curvata veicolano continuità e compattezza e si
prestano perfettamente a situazioni outdoor.
La Grand Table, in grado di accogliere fino a 12
persone, rende l’ambiente conviviale; Le Banc invita
gli ospiti ad accomodarsi e godere dell’architettura
circostante.

The Wall House, a concrete, glass and wood
architecture over 1,000-sqm designed by Portuguese
studio Guedes Cruz Arquitectos, in Cascais, a munici-
pality set on the Portuguese Riviera on the edge of
the Atlantic Ocean and caressed by Mediterranean
breezes. Surrounded by glass walls for a direct con-
nection with nature, this villa features a bold, modern
design that brings together water, air and light.
On the large patio connecting the indoor and
outdoor living spaces, we find two glass-bottomed
pools that bisect each other perpendicularly on two
levels for a surreal visual effect. La Grande Table and Le
Banc, by Belgian designer Xavier Lust, find their natural
place in this setting. Both icons of lightness, with
well-defined structural features and made of a single
curved aluminium sheet, they convey a sense of conti-
nuity and cohesion, and are perfect for outdoor use.
La Grande Table can seat up to 12 for a convivial
ambience; Le Banc invites guests to take a seat and
enjoy the surrounding architecture.
