Born in Murano in 1935, Carlo Nason co-
mes from one of the oldest glassmakers
families of the island. He is grown atten-
ding glassmakers who were working in the
family furnace and immediately he explo-
red the great potentiality of glass, a mate-
rial soaked in history and memory.
Carlo Nason has appropriated the most
refined glass art and has demonstrated an
incredible innovative design techniques
attitude, useing them as part of the desi-
gn process, creating a skilful combination
of technique and craftsmanship, tradition
and innovation.
Between 1965 and 1980 he collaborated
with Mazzega, whose products, now out
of production, are sold in numerous inter-
national and prestigious auctions.
