The Town Hall of the city of Valencia, seat
of the Municipal Council, integrates, in an
apple of slightly trapezoidal plant, two con-
structions of well-differentiated period and
style: the House of Teaching, built on the
initiative of the archbishop Don Andrés
Mayoral, between 1758 and 1763, and
the body of the building that constitutes
the main facade, made between the sec-
ond and third decades of the 20th century.
The Teaching House was conceived as
a school, the courtyard internalizes and
articulates the dependencies of a center
of this type: classrooms in the first two
floors and bedrooms in the third, as well
as other complementary services, dis-
tributed among them, and a piece as
outstanding as the chapel, to which the
south bay is reserved.
