ELOS MARCELLO MORANDINI
Ritorna in catalogo dopo diversi anni
la lampada Elos disegnata da Marcello
Morandini. Ho conosciuto Marcello tanti
anni fa, fu un incontro piacevolissimo, in
casa in campagna con i miei genitori, a
pranzo, sotto una grande tenda e pioveva,
…ci mettemmo a ridere. Si parlò di molte
cose interessanti inerenti al design e del
desiderio di avere un suo progetto nella
nostra produzione. Disse: ci penso.
Dopo un po’ arrivo questa idea particolare
che, direi, rivela bene il suo concetto
dello spazio e della forma. Degli elementi
geometrici semplici: un quadrato, un
cerchio e una mezza sfera che grazia
alla riflessione nello specchio su cui
poggia viene percepita come la sfera, una
“mutazione della forma nello spazio” come
solo lui è riuscito ad elaborare nella sua
continua ricerca.

Morandini is back in the catalogue after
several years. I met Marcello many years
ago. It was a very pleasant meeting, in the
country house with my parents, at lunch,
under a big tent and it was raining, ...we
started laughing. We talked about many
interesting things related to design and the
desire to have one of his projects in our
production. He said: I’ll think about it. After a
while, we came up with this particular idea
which, in my opinion, reveals his concept of
space and form very well. Simple geometric
elements: a square, a circle and a half
sphere which, thanks to the reflection in
the mirror on which it rests, is perceived as
the sphere, a “mutation of form in space”
as only he was able to develop in his
continuous research.
