Metrica prende il nome dal classico
strumento di misurazione, ispirandosi
al medesimo gesto di estrazione: infatti
la sorgente di luce a LED può essere
estratta o riposizionata all’interno del
corpo lampada replicando lo stesso
movimento del metro. È su questo
gioco fra tecnologia ed estetica che
risiede l’unicità di Metrica. Infatti
al suo interno vi è un sensore che
legge l’alternanza del bianco e del
nero presenti nella struttura mobile,
regolandone così la luminosità. La
sorgente di luce a LED, nascosta
all’interno del supporto che forma
la base, si accende nel momento
in cui viene estratta, aumentando
progressivamente di intensità fino a
raggiungere la posizione massima.
Si spenge mano a mano che ritorna
all’interno della base.

The magic of the light that takes shape
the moment it is extracted.
Metrica takes its name from the classic
measuring instrument, inspired by the
same gesture of extraction: in fact,
the LED light source can be extracted
or repositioned inside the body lamp
by replicating the same movement of
the meter. The uniqueness of Metrica
lies in this interplay of technology and
aesthetics. In fact, there is a sensor
inside the movable structure that reads
the alternation of black and white, thus
adjusting the brightness. The LED light
source, hidden inside the support that
forms the base, lights up as soon as
it is extracted, gradually increasing in
intensity until it reaches its maximum
position. It switches off as it returns to
the base.
