Un giorno, aiutando Anna, la mia
nipote, a fare una ricerca sugli insetti
per il compito di Scienze, mi soffermai
sulla mosca. È stato proprio il piccolo
dittero che ha fatto scaturire nella mia
fantasia l’idea di questa lampada.
Il suo corpo, ridotto all’essenziale,
diventa un cilindro in alluminio nel
colore nero; un elemento tubolare
stretto e lungo che supporta la
sorgente luminosa e ruota come la
testa con la sua lunga proboscide.
La Mosca si riposa di giorno, ma di
notte si fa notare come piccolo segno
sulle pareti creando simpatici effetti
luminosi orientabili.
Segni divertenti, non noiosi, che però
non devono essere schiacciati...
One day, while helping Anna, my grand-
daughter, to do a research on insects
for her science homework, I focused
on the fly. It was precisely this little
dipteran that inspired me to come up
with the idea for this lamp.
Its body, reduced to its essentials,
becomes an aluminium cylinder in
black; a long, narrow tubular element
that supports the light source and
rotates as the head recalls the long
proboscis. The fly rests during the day,
but at night it stands out as a small
sign on the walls, creating attractive
adjustable lighting effects. Fun, not
boring, signs, but they must not be
squashed...
