World Architects Collection is a tribute to the most consecrated architects in history, with an exclusive and limited collection of furniture pieces. World Architects combines the designer’s vision and the mastery of the artisans, allied with innovative and bold techniques, with a constant search for new materials to conceive the best design.
This collection displays Malabar’s acute sensibility for modern design. A predilection for the minimalist and geometric lines of modernism, a variety of rich woods and materials, results in a sophisticated, elegant and superbly refined contemporary collection.
Frank Lloyd Wright’s vision made him unwilling to build the Guggenheim Museum in New York in an era when it lacked architectural excellence. His decision to take on the challenge and project Guggenheim’s organic form in the middle of an overbuilt area marked a crucial turning point for the city. Outstanding from outside-in, the spiral design on the interior takes visitors on a smooth downward slope to view the art. In Volute dining table, Malabar honors the Prairie School of architecture with an inspired modernist design. For the finishing, a marquetry technique is used to apply the ironwood to the oval table top. Below, black lacquer and ironwood adorn the legs that spiral towards the ground.
