Filigree, which derives from Latin filum meaning thread and granum grain, in the sense of small bead. This sublime artistic expression is a delicate metalwork usually of gold and silver. It was very popular in Portuguese metalwork from 1660 to the late 19th century. Malabar was designed the Viana Floor Mirror inspired by this expression. This contemporary floor mirror has its structure in lacquered wood featuring handmade filigree ornaments in gold plated silver and its legs with gloss varnish.
