With a design that is nothing short of
revolutionary, Air-Chair, designed by Jasper
Morrison in 1999, was the first single-piece
chair in the world conceived and designed to
be produced with air-moulding technology. The
material used, a polypropylene reinforced with
glass fibre, results in a lightweight yet ultra-
resistant chair.
In 2023 RE Air-Chair and RE Air-Armchair joined
the Air-Family. Same production technology but
different material, these new versions are made
entirely from 100% post-consumer plastic,
obtained from the recycling of polylaminates
and single-use food packaging.
Highlighting the design’s sustainable mission,
the two models are presented in a single finish
resulting from the mix of materials, without the
addition of dyes during production.
Lightweight, recycled, recyclable, suitable for
indoors as well as outdoors, RE Air-Chair is the
