Aviva Studios is a leading cultural
hub commissioned by Manchester
Council, with backing from Arts
Council England and HM Gov-
ernment. The overall building, by
OMA Architects, has been zoned
into a warehouse and a huge hall,
all primed to showcase the very
best in dance, music, visual arts
and performance.
Brinkworth designed the interior
according to the principles of flex-
ibility, modularity, sense of place
and accessibility. Bold graphics
and colours, also applied to the
modular Costume sofas and Air-
Armchair characterise the space
and hold all elements together.
