Profile:
From Industrial Design is a design
studio established in 2014 by Cesare
Bizzotto and Tobias Nitsche.
They first met in Lausanne,
Switzerland, while studying for their
Master’s degrees in Product Design at
ECAL, and achieved initial recognition
by winning the SaloneSatellite Award.
Since its inception, the design studio
has been doing extensive research
into lighting, leading to the launch of
its independent lighting brand, From
Lighting, in 2018.
Today, From Industrial Design is a
full-fledged company, able to combine
a deep understanding of design across
all cultural aspects with the reality of
industrial production. They oversee
and connect every stage of the design
process for industrial furniture and
lighting, encompassing the initial
design concept, product development,
prototyping and production
management.
The company is based in Padua, Italy,
and has strong ties to a vast network
of suppliers with a strong design
tradition.
