Torsion testing for flexible led strips
Luz Negra is probably the Spanish company with the most experience in led strips (we have been commercialising them under our own brand
name of ecoled since 2006). We are therefore very aware of the fact that all malfunctions in led strips are caused by poor welding regarding the
chip or the led to the PCB and also between the joints in the 50cm lengths. Our torsion testing makes sure that all our led strips are twisted more
than 1000 times, in both directions, ensuring an excellent resistance.
Resistance machine
We must give utmost importance to the strength and resistance of
the welding in the led strips and modules. The soldering plays a very
big part especially in joints in different lengths of led strips and can
be a very significant weak point in installations due to expansion and
shrinkage of the aluminium where they are attached to.
This equipment not only puts resistance to the test but at the same
time tries out the strength of adhesion regarding the double-sided tape
and led modules.
Waterproof testing chamber
In order to obtain the required certification for waterproofing, for example
IP67 or IP68, it is necessary to submerge the product in water and at
the corresponding pressure which we would get at a depth of one
metre (minimum).
In this waterproof testing chamber we can verify that the products
which we are offering with elevated IP ratings, do actually comply with
the current regulations.
