The high-power light source generates an amount
of heat that the lower disc alone is unable to dissipate,
thus risking greatly reducing the life of the LEDs.
The problem has been solved thanks to a special
element acting as a heat pipe (used in the aerospace
industry) inserted in the thin tube connecting the discs.
Its function is to thermally connect the LED circuit
to a heat sink housed on top of the upper disc. This
generates a virtuous circle that moves heat away from
the LEDs area and allows them to work at their best.
La sorgente luminosa ad alta potenza genera una
quantità di calore che il solo disco inferiore non è
in grado di dissipare, rischiando quindi di ridurre
enormemente la vita dei LED. Il problema è stato
risolto grazie ad uno speciale elemento che agisce
da remotizzazione di calore (utilizzato nell’industria
aerospaziale) inserito nel sottile tubo che collega
i dischi. La sua funzione è quella di collegare
termicamente il circuito del LED a un dissipatore
di calore alloggiato nel disco superiore. Ciò genera
un circolo virtuoso che sposta il calore dalla zona
dei LED e gli permette di lavorare al meglio.

an enveloping, shadowless stream of light.
