The owl is the symbol of the Greek goddess Athena,
associated with intelligence, wisdom and cunning. Lladró
artists have chosen the owl for the latest addition to the
Boldblack collection. The animals in this series are made in
black porcelain with just a few touches of golden luster in the
decoration. This creation produces a very powerful effect. On
one hand for the decoration and, on the other, because the
matte porcelain enhances the sculpture and the etching.
This owl stands out for the faithful rendering, the face and
the meticulous work in the recreation of its feathering and
the wooden trunk. A creation that pays tribute to the animal
kingdom which is also highly decorative thanks to the
treatment of color.
