Starlings
The starling is a small bird that nevertheless
offers one of nature’s most beautiful sights
when they flock together and fly as one in
what is known as a murmuration. When flying
in flocks these little birds synchronize their
movements to form amazing patterns that
cover the sky like dancing clouds.
Lladró artists have focused on the bird’s unique
iridescent black feathers, with green and purple
sheens, captured in these starlings in the minute
ornamentation. In the black and the purple versions,
the single-color tone enhances each one of the
feathers covering the little birds.
