The Lladró design team is presenting these new pieces
as a tribute to the world’s largest mammals and their
symbolism. The ability of whales to navigate and to
communicate with each other is crucial in protecting
the group and defending themselves from predators,
and for this reason they represent well-being and
emotional depth.
Made in a combination of matte and glazed porcelain,
the upper part is decorated with enamels, degraded in
tone from the tail towards the head, while the lower
part features an etching of horizontal lines on matte
porcelain. The end result is two pieces that recall
the importance of looking after animal life and also
transmit beauty and tenderness. Porcelain creations
that produce emotions.
