Spirit of India
For the Parsi community, descended from Persian Zoroastrians, an
important part of Indian culture, the Faravahar represents the wisdom
of age. It is a protective symbol with different meanings, a guardian
angel that exemplifies one of the religion’s main teachings: to live with
good thoughts, words and actions. It is also believed to symbolize the
victory of light over darkness.
In the bas relief of the plate, executed by Lladró artists, the sacred
figure of the Faravahar is enhanced by the delicate ornamentation and
the elegant contrast between the purity of the white porcelain and the
golden luster of the circular frieze surrounding it.
Lord Balaji, the Lord of Miracles who fulfills the wishes of
all those who ask with a true heart, is etched on this dome
lamp made using the lithophane technique. The magic of
lithophanes is owing to the combination of the light and the
translucency of porcelain. When lit inside it gives off a warm
light that brings out the pattern etched on the surface.
The cordless dome lamps come with a USB-rechargeable
LED module inside, with a dimmer switch to regulate the
intensity of the light.
