delicatamente sbiancata e vergata dal segno
di tagli e bisellature ad effetto “tromp l’oeil”, in
perfetta armonia e aperto dialogo con il corredo
espositivo.
L’esposizione ripercorre il ruolo fondante
che Azimut/h ebbe nel panorama artistico italiano
e internazionale di quegli anni. Come una sorta di
terremoto creativo, fu uno dei grandi catalizzatori
della cultura visiva e concettuale italiana ed
europea dell’epoca, e ponte ideale tra una nuova
generazione rivoluzionaria, ironica e cruciale,
e la più stretta contemporaneità.
Il pavimento incorporeo, quasi
impalpabile, si trasforma in palcoscenico su cui
tracciare forme inusuali, le liste custodiscono
segretamente tagli di profondo impatto visivo
che sembravano interrogare lo spettatore,
seppur nel pieno rispetto del proprio ruolo, in
un continuo rimando tra la superficie orizzontale
e le opere d’arte esposte.
They successfully managed to translate their
design concept into a unique floor, in perfect
harmony and temporary dialogue with
the graphic layout of the exhibition itself.
Ethereal, lightly bleached birch wood boards
are enhanced with the tromp l'oeil effect
of transversal incisions and bevels.
The exhibition aimed to give back to the
public the fundamental role that Azimut/h
played in both the Italian and international
art scenes of that period: as a sort of creative
earthquake. It was one of the great catalysts of
the Italian and European visual and conceptual
cultures of the time, bridging that ironic and
revolutionary generation with the contemporary
world. The intangible, almost impalpable floor
turns into a stage on which to draw unusual
shapes. The imperceptible cuts of the top layer
engage the spectator in a continuous cross-
reference look between the horizontal surface
and the displayed artworks.
