Tutto ebbe inizio nella Grande Mela la notte del
30 marzo 2006. Al centro della Rotunda del Solomon
Guggenheim Museum gli ottantotto tasti del Fazioli gran
coda e le dita di Danilo Rea erano una cosa sola. I trecento
ospiti accreditati alla serata finale di Umbria Jazz a New York
prima trattennero il respiro, poi sciolsero nella penombra i
propri corpi per fare ancora meno rumore.
It all began in the Big Apple on the night of March
30th, 2006. At the center of the Solomon Guggenheim
Museum’s Rotunda, the eighty-eight keys of the Fazioli
gran coda piano and Danilo Rea’s fingers had become
one. The three hundred guests attending the Umbria Jazz
closing night in New York held their breath at first, then
their bodies seemed to melt noiselessly into the dim light.
