goderon francese, un modello di ornamento
sotto forma di uno stampaggio cavo o sporgente,
o di groove in rilievo, di forma ovoidale, utilizzato
per decorare il ventre rimbalzato di un vaso
o le superfici convesse delle modanature.
Una tecnica che si può ritrovare in ornamenti
gonfiati o incrociati, posizionati ai bordi di piatti
d'argento, servizi di orologeria e molto altro.
Questo motivo decorativo poteva essere
presente in disegni per case, generalmente
verticali, ma anche pieghe di ferro e rotonde
con fragole e colture. Si dice anche della forma
data al colletto dei costumi del Rinascimento.
L'elemento decorativo godron viene utilizzato
anche in architettura per designare nello
specifico ornamenti delle modanature.
derives from the old French goderon, it is a
model of ornament in the form of a hollow or
protruding molding, or of groove in relief, ovoid
in shape, used to decorate the bounced belly
of a vase or the convex surfaces of the
technical moldings that it can be found in
inflated or crossed ornaments, positioned at the
edges of silver plates, services of watchmaking.
This decorative motif could have also been
present in designs for houses, generally
vertical, but also iron and round folds with
strawberries and crop decoration.
It is also said of the form given to the
collar of the Renaissance costumes. The term
godron is also used in architecture to design
ornaments in moldings.
