di un’improvvisazione musicale d’eccezione: Danilo Rea,
piano solo. E il cerchio si chiuse così magicamente nello
stesso punto dove aveva avuto origine. Non per segnare
una conclusione, in realtà, ma un inizio. Natural Genius è
così diventata nel tempo anche una collezione dinamica di
Listone Giordano, che ha conosciuto successo della critica
e del pubblico oltre ogni prevedibile aspettativa. Di fatto
ha inaugurato il rapporto organico e stabile tra design e
pavimentazioni in legno, che sorprendentemente avevano
avuto in precedenza nulla, o comunque scarsissima,
frequentazione.
Il resto è storia recente. Questa pubblicazione rende
omaggio al primo tratto di questo affascinante percorso e
ai suoi diversi protagonisti. Ma soprattutto agli ingredienti
che continuano ad alimentarlo: curiosità, ricerca e spirito
di sperimentazione. Sono anche i reagenti, segretamente
custoditi, di quell’alchimia senza tempo che ha fatto da
colonna sonora all’intera presenza della nostra specie sulla
scena della crosta terrestre.
Natural Genius, appunto.
The project came full circle in the same way it had
magically begun. It was less an end than a new beginning
for Natural Genius, which established itself as a
dynamic Listone Giordano collection and experienced
both critical and public success beyond its wildest
dreams. A long-term and natural dialogue between
design and wood flooring was born, which surprisingly
enough had previously had nothing, or at least very little,
in common.
The rest is recent history. This publication pays
tribute to the first part of this fascinating journey
and its various actors. But above all to the ingredients
that continue to nurture it: curiosity, research and a
creative spirit. These are also the secretly guarded
ingredients of that timeless alchemy that has served
as background music to human life on earth.
