Equipment provided with high efficiency passive
dissipation system with alloy 6060 extruded
aluminium profiles. When operative, diodes can
easily reach high temperatures which affect their
performance and life cycle: thanks to a compact array
of strips the Cob20 range of downlights exploits the
entire surface to efficiently cool the LED source, thus
guaranteeing balance between high performance and
operative duration over time.
UGR index
The UGR (Unified Glare Rating) index evaluates the
presence of disturbing glare, i.e. uncomfortable for
the person, due to excessive luminance levels within
the visual field. The COB20_RX versions guarantee a
UGR index below 19, i.e. the threshold value for the
correct lighting of offices and environments with video
terminals (UNI-EN 12464-1 standard).
Easy and safe to assemble
The i-LèD technical laboratories developed the
innovative springs equipped with the “smart spring”
technology in the conventional versions and with the
shaped-coupling-equipped torsional technology. It
allows optimising time thanks to a quick and simple
installation of the downlights, without damaging the
plasterboard or the surface on which they are installed.
Furthermore, it allows safe fixing avoiding accidental
fall even in environments with heavy mechanical
stresses (e.g. subway stations). The COB series
downlights can be installed and lit even without the
reflector, which will be installed later on, at the end of
the works, so as to ensure perfect cleanness.
The i-LèD downlights can be installed on dropped
ceilings with small thicknesses that range between a
minimum of 10mm and a maximum of 30mm.

efficiency of the installation.
