Linea Light Group has always focused on the design of lighting fixtures that comply with the buildings
well-being certifications. This is a priority, because we know that designers look to us for high-quality,
reliable products. Certification is a key indicator factor in design therefore we are committed to meet
these criteria on our products.
To this end, our design team is highly specialised and equipped with advanced tools for simulation and
testing. Every product is carefully checked to ensure it complies with all relevant legislation and sector
standards.
Regarding certification and sustainability, to keep our products up to date with the ever-changing market
and laws; LEED and WELL in particular are requested for commercial and residential properties. The
LEED programme (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is a rating system that certifies a
building's energy efficiency and environmental impact. Developed by the US Green Building Council
(USGBC), LEED evaluates the performance of buildings on the basis of eight categories, including the
environmental impact of sites, energy use and the quality of the interior environment. The LEED system
is designed to reduce the environmental impact of buildings by improving energy efficiency, reducing
waste and encouraging the use of sustainable materials. The WELL protocol, meanwhile is a rating
system that attests to the well-being of a
building's occupants. Also developed by
the US Green Building Council (USGBC),
the system evaluates buildings on the
basis of seven categories: air, water,
nutrition, light, fitness, comfort and
mental well-being. The WELL system
is designed to facilitate, a more healthy
and productive working environment
by improving air and water quality,
increasing the quantity of natural light,
improving the quality of artificial light,
providing space for physical exercise
and promoting a healthy diet.
