QUALITY OF LIGHTING FOR
INDOOR ENVIRONMENTS
One of the criteria for evaluating the quality of light used in the
LEED® certification depends on the quality of the luminaires:
The EVO collection
emerges as the main key
point for the assignment
of the LEED credit since it
fully embraces the three
strategies attributable to
the lighting fixture, thus
guaranteeing a satisfactory
coverage of all the
required specifications.
Interior lighting
The EVO collection complies
with the envisaged LEED
parameters in terms of
luminance, CRI and useful
life of LEDs (24,000h)
Example:
Vos_EVO
9W - Medium Flood
3000K
UGR <11
CRI90
A. Use of lighting equipment characterised by luminance lower than 2500 cd/m2 and angle between 45° and 90°.
B. Use of light sources with a CRI greater than 80.
C. Use of light sources with a useful life of at least 24,000 hours for at least 75% of the lighting system.
D. Use of exclusively direct ambient light for a maximum of 25% of all regularly occupied spaces.
E. Reaching or exceeding the following average reflectance thresholds per area for at least 90% of the regularly
occupied area (85% ceilings - 60% walls - 25% floors).
F. If applicable, selection of finishes for the furniture that allow the light reflectance thresholds for average
surfaces to be exceeded (45% work surfaces - 50% movable walls).
G. For at least 75% of the regularly occupied area, guaranteeing a ratio between average luminance on the
vertical surface and average luminance of the work area that is less than or equal to 1.10.
H. For at least 75% of the regularly occupied area, guaranteeing a ratio between average luminance on the
ceilings and average luminance of the work area that is less than or equal to 1.10.
