The illumination of the oil paintings, dating back to a range of periods
(from the end of the 15th century to the 18th century), was handled with
great care: measurements were taken on site using a luxometer to create
specially dimmed illuminations to preserve the works. The staggered
colours in the simulation denote the diff erent diameters of the light beams,
which are obtained by adjusting the focal aperture of the versatile Pound
Focus projector.
