Project study:
Church of Saints Victor and Corona
The ancient church of Cendon di
Silea (TV), dedicated to Saints Victor
and Corona and located on the
towpath of the River Sile, is a perfect
example of a lighting project carried
out within a small sacred building
as part of a larger-scale restoration
programme. This case history is
quite diff erent from those involving
more imposing structures such as
cathedrals, basilicas or cathedrals,
but is extremely common in the
region. The parish has ancient
origins (1050 - 1060): starting from a
humble mortuary shrine, the building
was gradually expanded over the
years, then rebuilt in 1727 and
consecrated in 1859. Today, this
lighting project provides a solution to
the poor combination of natural light
and artifi cial halogen light, which
previously resulted in an unclear
view of the works.
Linea Light Group helped to equip
the church with an eff ective lighting
system by giving it a complete
makeover and introducing lighting
that is no longer static but scenic
and well-adapted to its purpose. All
Navata Optus projectors used are
located in the horizontal ledges of
the cornicing. There was therefore
no need for costly and intrusive
works; at the same time, it was
possible to create dynamic lighting
that can be adjusted depending
