Miami si offre d’incanto in un
caleidoscopio di esperienze, un abbraccio
tra il cielo azzurro e l’oceano turchese. Lasciate
le sinuose case art decò dagli splendidi balconi
fioriti di South Beach in pochi minuti si arriva nei
pressi del prestigioso quartiere di Bal Harbour.
Il cielo si colora di arancio e rosa e il tramonto
avvolge il paesaggio in un abbraccio caldo
e rassicurante. I gabbiani, bianchi e maestosi,
accompagnano il viaggiatore. La Sunrise house
compare quasi per magia, le palme adiacenti
al rigoroso specchio d’acqua che fronteggia
la villa si riflettono nelle sue grandi superfici
vetrate. Linee geometriche orizzontali e verticali
s’intersecano fra loro, disegnando due livelli sui
quali è organizzato l’intero complesso abitativo.
Il vetro, luminoso e diafano, è, di fatto,
il protagonista: un insieme di trasparenze tagliate
dalle robuste solette che trasformano le perti-
nenze esterne in accoglienti terrazzi; il contatto
fra natura e azione, la proiezione interna verso
un’agorà discreta e riservata dove potersi
rigenerare. La rigorosa geometria dell’abitato
è interrotta dalle voluttuose spirali di una grande
scala che dal soggiorno, al piano terra, collega
il piano superiore: un tripudio di forme barocche
rivisitate nella più minimale interpretazione
contemporanea; un’esperienza immersiva
dove l’incontro fra l’uomo e il creato rappresenta
la cifra stilistica dell’intero progetto.
Miami enchants with a kaleidoscope
of experiences, a blend between the light blue
sky and the turquoise ocean; a city of light and
dreams that dances to the rhythm of its colours
and passions. Leaving behind the sinuous art
deco houses with their splendid, flowered
balconies of South Beach, in just a few minutes
one arrives near the prestigious neighborhood
of Bal Harbour. The sky is painted in orange
and pink, and the sunset envelops the landscape
in a warm and reassuring embrace. The Sunrise
house appears almost magically, with adjacent
palm trees reflected in the large glass surfaces
facing the villa’s strict water mirror. Horizontal
and vertical geometric lines intersect, creating
two levels for the home: a combination of trans-
parencies cut by robust slabs that transform the
exterior spaces into welcoming shaded terraces,
creating a discreet and reserved ‘agora’ where
one can relax. The rigorous geometry of the
home is interrupted by the voluptuous spirals
of a grand staircase that connects the upper floor
from the living room on the ground floor: a surge
of baroque forms revisited in the most minimal
contemporary way; an immersive experience
where the encounter between man and his
creations represents the stylistic hallmark of the
entire project.
