The Transmission
collection was created
by Studio deFORM,
who continuously look
to broaden their design
approaches in interesting
and compelling ways.
The Transmission
collection was formed
through experimentation
with Simax borosilicate
glass and manufactured
in collaboration with
Kavalierglass.
The nearly hemispherical
shades of glass frame
the luminaire, allowing
surprising shadows and
reflections to slide over
the curves. The clean,
rounded glass is joined
together by hard steel,
giving the delicate form
an elegant durability.
The collection includes
a light sculpture and
a floor lamp. Each lighting
sculpture fits well alone
or along the ceiling of
a minimalist interior
design, uplifting the
space with a distinctly
stark, yet charismatic,
spacial experience.
