Cyril Dunděra, author of
Globe Metro, is a Prague-
based designer who
has gained a place in
the spotlight for his
experimental glass work.
Globe Metro takes on
the role of a shapeshifter,
and its light creates
a puzzle in the interior of
the glass form. Each side
of the glass pendant
offers a different shape.
No matter where it is
placed, guests have
a different spacial
experience when looking
at it from different angles.
Globe Metro was informed
by Prague’s metro tiles,
which have a similar
hemisphere in their center.
Globe Metro’s stunningly
distinct iris colour
accentuates the clean
concave and convex
shapes of the entire form.
The lighting is suitable
for modern interiors that
call out for experimentation
and rebellion.
