The electronic multi-current/multi-voltage power supply unit has DIP switches, a component inside the power supply that is used to set the output voltage/current.
This type of power supply unit is recommended for installations where you need to be able to adjust the system’s lighting level, so that it can be adapted to
the different light conditions.
It is very versatile and can also be utilised as a generic PSU: this makes it ideal for different applications.
UNIVERSAL POWER SUPPLY UNITS THAT CAN BE SET FOR LEDS
Wiring diagram of a series connection
Should you need to use a constant-current power supply unit (series connection), you should consider:
• the number of power LEDs present in the lighting fixture requiring power;
• the maximum current that can be used to power them (350mA, 500mA, 700mA or 1050mA).
Check the maximum operating current admissible, then count the total number of power LEDs in each fixture and add them together (example: 2 fixtures with
3 LEDs each, total 6 LEDs). Based on this information, and taking into consideration any special operating needs (dimming), you will now be able to select a
suitable power supply unit from the ones given in the tables of 350/500/700/1050mA power supply units for LEDs, being careful to check that the maximum
number of LEDs it can manage matches your requirements.
Be sure to always check that the power supply unit’s electrical output specifications correspond to the fixture’s minimum requirements, to ensure a correct
operation.
WARNING:
Do not connect switches to the secondary circuit.
The system must be powered only after all the lighting fixtures have been connected.
