Vimini
Vimini means wicker in Italian and it also sounds like
Bimini, the name of an island the designer likes.
It uses just the right amount of outdoor wicker with
a rougher wooden frame. It does not have the same
modernist spirit as the Basket (which the original
inspiration came from) but it is familiar enough that,
when you get close, it stirs a memory and makes one
feel at home. That is what it is, more or less —
an object of memory.
