We have celebrated 70 years of the Kartell brand, a
story in which we have been key players in production
process innovation, product creativity and the
definition of an ever-new distribution path.
Being the first in innovation,
combining design and industrial technology
Ours is a constantly changing story which, while
remaining firmly anchored to its origins, evolves to
renew the way it tells and is told through quality and
design.
In the 1950s, Kartell was first to work with plastic
materials and to transform polymers into functional
objects and reference products for the history of
furnishing. In the 90s, it was first to use colour, and not
just basic shades, with the invention of transparency,
always making a small revolution in style and vision
in the way of embodying design. The 2000s brought
new materials to Kartell, an expansion of the product
range, an extended vision of the Kartell lifestyle, no
longer made up of individual pieces but consisting of
possible arrangements that continue to merge and
harmonise well with different environments.
In its industrial process, it has always paid attention
to the environment and to the sustainability not
only of the product but also of the way it does
business, in its supply chain, from creative decisions
to the management of relationships, via the way it
communicates and presents its products.
Feeding the beauty of things
and respect for people
A Kartell product is a timeless product, which is
produced with the utmost respect for the environment
and destined - on completion of its function - to occupy
museum spaces and join collectors’ assets. A beautiful
and well made product, part of a production process
that pursues perfection, pays attention to detail and
studies every possible evolutionary change.
Doing good and making people feel good
Kartell objects are environmentally friendly and hold
certifications that confirm their low level of emissions.
The entire production process supply chain sees Kartell
committed to safeguarding the environment and
observing sustainability protocols.
Every day, Kartell is directly and wholeheartedly
involved in laying the foundations and building its
story, which is the story of products designed and
created thanks to partnerships and investments in
technological innovation, creative solutions and new
materials that deliver ever-better performance and
eco-friendly credentials.
Kartell loves the planet is the industrial manifesto
launched in 2019 and promoted during the 70th
anniversary celebrations, with which Kartell focuses
on responsibility for the environment and attention to
good practices in sustainability.
The raw materials that Kartell uses are entirely
recyclable and can be given a new lease of life thanks
to material machining processes for industrial-use
products. Technological research and development,
today just like seventy years ago, enables the
company to continue to find materials that can be
regenerated and which have no negative impact on
the environment.
All product packaging is made of recyclable and
regenerable material.
