COM (CUSTOMER OWN MATERIAL)
The amount of fabric indicated for each model
refers only to plain, self-coloured material in 140
cm width, without any defects.
The minimum order amount for this programme
is as follows:
- 1 piece for sofas and armchairs;
- 4 pieces for chairs.
The feasibility of covering the requested product
with COM is subject to verification by Kartell
SpA of a sample of fabric to be sent together
with the order.
Simply send a COM sample no smaller than A4
size (210 x 297 mm).
The use of any material that is not 140 cm wide,
or of any fabric that is not plain and self-colour-
ed, is subject to authorisation by Kartell Spa and
in such cases the company may request a larger
quantity than that indicated on the list.
The client must clearly indicate any particular
cuts to be made, plus the direction of stripes or
decorative parts.
Kartell Spa approval of the material provided by
the Client is limited only to the production of the
upholstery. Kartell SpA therefore declines any
responsibility relating to resistance to wear, fire
resistance or other technical characteristics of
fabrics provided by the Client.
Kartell S.p.A. is in no way responsible for cus-
tomer-supplied materials, for any defects or
technical shortcomings of such materials, for any
possible defective reactions on the upholstered
product or for care and washing instructions.
SHIPPING OF CUSTOMER
OWN MATERIAL
The sample of customer own material (“COM”)
and the fabric required for the production of the
items ordered must be sent to us with delivery
duty paid (DDP) complete with all the instructions
required to identify the material, the order and
the model it refers to.
The material should be sent to the following

OWN MATERIAL ORDERS
Orders are generally available within 4 weeks
of receipt of the material, unless otherwise indi-
cated due to the particular characteristics of the
fabric and, in any case, subject to technical fea-
sibility.
IMPORTANT: indications regarding amounts of
material required are not valid for customer own
leather (“COL”). For further information, please
contact our Sales Office.
