SNAPS
Snaps can be housed on either
webbing when hidden, or in
corresponding fabric with the body
of the cushion if they need to be
visible. Snaps are not recommended
for applications where the snap
could touch a painted or powder
coated frame directly.
VELCRO
Velcro can be housed on either
webbing when hidden, or in
corresponding fabric with the
body of the cushion if it needs to
be visible. Velcro attachments are
not recommended where the velcro
might come in contact with rope
woven frames.
JANUS BUTTON/CORD
JANUS button/cord consists of
a stainless steel button with our
JANUS logo which attaches to
the loop of woven cord. This is the
most aesthetically pleasing visible
attachment. It is not recommended in
any area that comes in contact
directly with a wood or metal frame.
FABRIC TIES
Fabric ties are sewn strips of fabric
used to tie directly to the frame. The
textiles that can be used for fabric
ties are limited to plain weave
materials of low thickness.
BELT LOOP
Belt loops are sewn strips of fabric
added to cushions to create an
attachment location for other
cushions or toss pillows.
WEBBING
Webbing is a woven material used
as an attachment due to its low
profile and strength.
D-RINGS (HEADREST ONLY)
D-ring style attachments are used
for long straps only. A 1" fabric
strap is pulled through both D-rings
and comes back through only one
D-ring, creating a belt-like cinching
method.
SPLINE TUBING
Spline tubing is an attachment
method only used on specific
frames which have a groove for the
tubing to correspond to. The tubing
is sewn into a cushion and the
tubing wrapped in fabric is pressed
into a corresponding groove in
the frame.
CUFF ATTACHMENT
Cuff attachment is a flap of fabric
sewn into a fold which goes over
the top of a backrest.
