Ruhe, Wärme und Behaglichkeit: Das TM01 Bett von Toni Matthes steht sinnbildlich
für die Eigenschaften eines Baums und zugleich als Metapher für das Werden und
Vergehen als Grundprinzip des Lebens. Das Fußteil ist aus zwei Planken zusammen-
gesetzt, deren obere im stumpfen Winkel auf der unteren sitzt – eine Schrägung,
die das stoff- oder lederbezogene Kopfteil dezent aufnimmt. __
Warmth, tranquility and shelter: The TM 01 by Toni Matthes bed beautifully reflects a
tree’s most comforting qualities, while the stunning surfaces serve as a reminder of
this bed’s role in the wood life cycle. Two wooden planks form a footboard of under-
stated uniqueness, with the upper plank sitting snuggly at a slight angle — a cant also
mirrored by the fabric or leather-clad headrest.
